SQPBC race day – Yeronga 4 May 2014
South Queensland Power Boat Club will be holding its next club race day at Yeronga on 4 May 2014. The previous event was a great day, so don’t miss out on this one – it’s a great opportunity to enjoy a day of low-pressure power boat racing and, if nothing else, a great opportunity to do some test and tune work on your boat.

Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix – Round 3
The Queensland State Council of the Australian Power Boat Association wishes all Queensland competitors the best of luck in this weekend’s round of the Formula Powerboat Grand Prix series at Lake Mulwala, Victoria. Whether it’s the Formula 1 class or the stars of the future in the junior classes (or anything in between), you can be sure the Queenslanders will put up a good fight!

SQPBC race day – reminder
Don’t forget that SQPBC is holding a club race day tomorrow 6 April 2014 at Yeronga! Racing starts at 10.00 am and all classes are catered for. Even if you aren’t racing, come along and support the club.
If you’re interested in getting involved in power boat racing, club race days are a good way to get to know people and ask questions – the days are low-key and there are plenty of people around happy to chat about racing.

This is a new major event that is set to become a favourite for drivers all over the country, with free on-site camping available and sponsorship being negotiated to cover towing costs for competitors.

Date changes
Happy New Year,
Due to paperwork problems the SQPBC February race date has had to be changed. It is now the 6th April 2014.
We are trying to find a date that does not clash with either AFPGP or the UIM World’s or Bundaberg for the SQPBC May race meeting. Once we have that new date confirmed we will advise all drivers.
Everyone please make a note that Maraboon will be holding a race meeting at Fairburn Dam, Emerald on the 23rd and 24th August 2014. It is a long drive but is definitely worth going to support this Club.
The advertised race date for SQPBC August 31st still stands.

Cell test for 2013-14 licence year
For those drivers that require a cell test to race this year, the next cell test day is Saturday 28th September.
Testing will be done at 31-35 The Chase, FORESTDALE at 2pm. Could all prospective participants please let me know so we can be prepared.
